Accessibility
Built to WCAG 2.2 AA. Measured, not certified.
Every page we ship, ours and our clients', goes through the same checks before launch. This page says what they are, where the limits are, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
How we test.
- Lighthouse gate. Accessibility, best practices and SEO are run on every page before launch; a generated page ships at 100, the homepage at 97 or better.
- Keyboard pass. Every link, button, tab and form field reachable by Tab, operable by Enter and Space, with a visible focus ring.
- Four widths. 390, 760, 1024 and 1440 pixels: no overlap, no clipping, no horizontal scroll.
- Contrast. Text meets AA against its background, including the pale accent on paper, which is why the accent darkens on light sections.
- Reduced motion. Every animation is guarded by prefers-reduced-motion. The hero film becomes a still and the typed cards show their finished state.
- Structure. One H1 per page, landmarks, a skip link, labelled forms, and structured data that says what the page is.
Where the limits are.
The homepage hero is a scroll-driven film. It is decorative: the headline, the sub-line and both buttons are real text and stay usable throughout, and the film is skipped entirely under reduced motion or without JavaScript. Some marketing imagery is AI-generated and described in alt text where it carries meaning; purely decorative images are marked as such. If a screen reader, a switch or a magnifier trips on something, we want to know.
Before you ask.
Is the site WCAG certified?
No. WCAG 2.2 AA is the target we build and test to. Certification is a third-party audit, and we say measured, not certified, until one exists.
What if I cannot use the hero film?
Scroll the page as normal, or set reduce motion in your system settings: the film is replaced by a composed still and every heading and button stays where it is.
Who do I contact about an accessibility problem?
Use the form on the homepage and choose Not sure yet, or reply to any email from us. A person reads it and fixes what can be fixed in the next release.
